Janine Pattison Studios design many exciting new public spaces, working with architects, developers and Local Authorities. We specialise in highly creative solutions to assist the planning process in securing permissions and the release of landscape planning conditions (Pre Commencement and Reserved Matters).

A New Theatre For Hampshire
Working alongside Architects Williams Lester, Janine Pattison Studios are absolutely delighted to have been the chosen team to design the landscapes for the exciting Greyfriars Arts Centre - a new theatre and community arts complex now approved by the planners in the grounds of the Greyfriars Community Centre in Ringwood, Hampshire.

The theatre includes a fly tower and back-stage facilities to ensure flexibility in performances, while the 280 seats in the main auditorium can retract allowing the space to be opened up as a hall for community and conference uses.
The Arts Campus
In addition to the theatre, the Centre includes community spaces and a public café, which open out onto a new pedestrian amphitheatre in front of the retained library, providing a quiet space for reading and street theatre / performance activities. The landscape design reflects the town's agricultural heritage, with bespoke fretwork sculptures, water wall and a processional allée of top-worked Platanus trees that continue into the building; bringing the theatre outside, and the landscape inside; encouraging participation and circulation. The landscape design was an integral part of the planning process, and we are thrilled to be part of this important cultural new landmark.

Janine Pattison Studios were delighted to be chosen to design this new children's park in Poundbury, Prince Charles' experimental new town in Dorchester, Dorset. Drawing on the folklore of Wessex, including King Arthur, our plans envisaged a park with trike trail and 'magical' themed areas including a wooden pole labyrinth, a musical centre and interactive water installations.

Janine Pattison Studios were commissioned by Adrian Fisher to design this new adventure park and maze in Singapore.
