 WORKING AT JPS

JPS is an award-winning, multi-disciplinary practice of landscape designers, landscape architects, horticulturalists and artists, renowned for combining creative flair with technical expertise to deliver outstanding landscape design solutions. Featured extensively in the media, many JPS projects have gone on to win numerous industry awards. Established over 15 years, our diverse range of clients include home owners, architects, developers, national home builders, local authorities, care home providers, charities, healthcare, education and community groups. Projects range from a single private garden to multi-million pound commercial developments across the UK.

Due to the growing success and expansion of the practice, JPS are delighted to announce a series of new positions now available:

  GRADUATE LANDSCAPE DESIGNER (FULL-TIME POSITION)

The successful candidate will be a dynamic, highly energetic and optimistic ideas person, with a real passion for landscape design and horticulture. The successful candidate will enjoy a friendly and supportive working environment, a competitive salary and excellent opportunities for training and career progression within JPS.

DUTIES

Working for our Head Of Studio, you will carry out Landscape Plans, Landscape and Garden Design Plans, Planting Plans, Lighting Plans, Construction Drawings and Section Elevations, Specification Drawings, Site Analysis and Site Surveys.



REQUIREMENTS
1st Class Honours Degree in Landscape Design or equivalent
Strong working knowledge of VectorWorks Landmark, Photoshop and InDesign
Outstanding communication skills - written, verbal and non-verbal - with the ability to really listen
Ability to produce plans to an exemplary standard with superb attention to detail
Willingness to go the extra mile to meet deadlines, ability to hit financial and productivity targets
Excellent horticulture and design knowledge, with a proven track record (portfolio)
Full UK driving licence

With a minimum of two years’ industry experience, the successful candidate will be a 
hard-working, committed and ambitious individual, excited about contributing to our highly creative and collaborative team. 
Able to demonstrate a real passion for landscape design and horticulture, the successful candidate will enjoy a friendly and supportive working environment, a competitive salary and excellent opportunities for training and career progression within JPS.

Working for our Head Of Studio, you will carry out LVIAs, including site surveys, assessments, mitigation plans, constraints plans, maps, graphics, photomontage, visualisations and report writing. Additional duties will include masterplanning, design statements, feasibility studies, specifications, planning applications, landscape design, landscape plans and planting plans.


REQUIREMENTS
A minimum of two years’ experience in landscape planning
Academic qualification in Landscape Architecture
Proven track record of conducting Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Ability to produce reports to an exemplary standard with superb attention to detail
Strong working knowledge of VectorWorks Landmark, Photoshop and InDesign
Ability to liaise effectively with clients and colleagues
Full UK driving licence

Due to the on-going success and growth of our Landscape Architecture department, JPS are also looking for a temporary Landscape Architect to join our award-winning practice in Poole, Dorset.  Working for our Head Of Studio, you will carry out LVIAs, including site surveys, assessments, mitigation plans, constraints plans, maps, graphics, photomontage, visualisations and report writing.
